Job summary

We're looking for Locum Consultant Ophthalmologists to work in Gloucester.

This is a great opportunity to build on your existing experience and to work at Newmedica alongside your existing commitments.

Main duties of the job

We can offer flexibility with shifts; however, we are specifically looking for people that could work shifts across the week, (weekdays and/or weekends) both daytime and/or evening cataract theatre lists.

Newmedica services are purpose built to the highest specifications with bright, spacious and modern reception and waiting areas. They are fitted out specifically for ophthalmology, complying with HTMs and meeting CQC standards with high quality clinical areas including an operating theatre, treatment room, recovery areas and consulting rooms with leading diagnostic and ophthalmic equipment.

What Experience do I need?

Youll require a Current GMC Registration and license to practice and will need to be on the Specialist Register.

You'll also need substantial clinical experience undertaking high volume cataract surgery. We typically see about 20 patients per session.
