Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity at Newmedica
Bristol for an individual looking for a clinical based role in Ophthalmology. We are looking for an Ophthalmic Technician
to join the team and help us continue to deliver outstanding clinical care for
our patients.
Main duties of the job
As an Ophthalmic Technician you will play an
integral role in our ophthalmology outpatient clinics. You will be trained to
use all diagnostic equipment and undertake the initial clinical assessment of
patients. You will support the Consultant by helping to ensure that clinics run
smoothly, to time, and appointments are conducted in the right manner.
As someone with experience in ophthalmic care
you will also act as a point of escalation if junior colleagues have queries or
concerns.
The thought of eye surgery can be a daunting prospect for patients to
deal with. If you have the ability to put patients at ease, have strong
communication skills, and are able to explain clearly and effectively what the
different tests are for so that patients understand their treatment, then you
are a great fit for the role.
You will spend most of your time at our main
location at Aztec West, however, there may be occasions where you will be
required to work at our locations in Clifton and Langford.
