Job summary
The successful candidate will have an exciting opportunity to work on the hospitals ambition to develop our Radiology services.
The post holder will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills whilst also maintaining clinical duties within the service.
The post holder will work closely with the Radiation Protection Advisor and undertake the duties of the Radiology Protection Supervisor.
The successful candidate will have excellent clinical, customer service and IT skills. They will be flexible, adaptable and patient focussed delivering the highest standards of clinical care.
Proven experience working at a management level within the healthcare industry and an understanding of private and public sector funding models would be desirable.
Main duties of the job
-Overall management of the running of the Radiology service on a day to day basis ensuring the highest standards of care and service.
Responsible for the leadership of the team of radiographers and will work closely with the Senior Management Team towards the management of safe and efficient staffing across the whole department.
Establish and oversee evidence-based practice, quality assurance and clinical audits.
Lead the development of high quality and efficient radiology services including CT, MRI, X-Ray and USS.
Assist the Senior Management team in the development of the department and the introduction of new services.
Work closely with the Consultants, Referrers and Radiologists ensuring scans are of the highest quality and in line with best practice.
Work closely with the RPA and undertake the RPS duties to ensure compliance with IRMER requirements.
Actively participate in the establishment of new business and ensure long term stakeholder satisfaction in the Radiology service.
