Job summary

The Commercial Development Manager (CDM) will be required to develop and drive mobile revenue growth and to ensure the revenue goals and objectives are met/exceeded. medneo prides itself on a leading edge range of mobile MRI and CT scanners which have set new standards for the industry, which is combined with a new workforce model where medneo does not employ agency staff. The CDM role is to take this unique solution to market and drive awareness of medneo with key imaging departments across the UK. Additional modalities may be added in the future.

Working closely with other CDM colleagues and led by the Commercial Director, the role is about maximing utilisation and ensuring average price per day is above budgeted range.In addition the role is responsible for the accurate and timely management of the Utilisation Tracker, the companys Mobile Pipeline and a CRM tracker sheet for the business.Day to day the role will have up to 10 or more direct mobile customers who will be account managed by the incumbent. This requires regular update meetings, close liaison with the Regional Mobile Management team and production of key metrics to track local performance.The role will also require the production of proposals, tender writing, tender management and tender submissions. Tracking databases for published local and national tenders is also key.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver Revenue in line with the budget and aligned with EBITDA
  • Develop, deliver and regularly qualify a clear and robust sales pipeline for medneos mobile scanners that delivers the budgetary objectives
  • Maintain strong commercial awareness (budget, targets and costs) to produce monthly reports
  • To provide quotations, presentations and to draft contracts with customers
  • Continue to develop the relationship with current mobile clients to secure additional business
  • Promote best practice in sales delivery in all propositions and working practices. This will include input into the companys pricing strategy
  • Continuously network at appropriate levels to broaden knowledge of the market, including competitor analysis and areas of opportunity
  • To serve as a mentor/coach to operational staff on sales and business development
  • Maintain strong commercial awareness (budget, targets and costs) to produce monthly reports, or as required by the business
  • Develop, deliver and regularly qualify a clear and robust sales pipeline for the mobile business that delivers the budgetary objectives using the companys CRM tracker, monitor and report on performance and plan tasks and activities.
  • To lead the identification, planning & execution of tenders in a compelling format with clear sales messaging, liaising with necessary support/ delivery functions to put together clear and coherent tender responses.
  • Continuously network at appropriate levels to broaden knowledge of the market, including competitor analysis
