We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedicto join ourUnscheduled Care Team atHMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category BPrison located inLondon.
In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.
Hours
The site currently offers a24-hour service
Days: 07:30 - 19:45
Nights: 19:45 - 07:30
Predominately working days, night shifts will be required to cover sickness and annual leave. An expectation to work a maximum of 2 weekends per month is also required.
Salary
This position isfull time,you'll receive an annual salary up to£55,086per annum - depending on experience.How will we support you?

Main duties of the job
As aParamedic,you willyou willattend emergency response situations across the prison, assess patients and ensure that follow up care is implemented.
- Provide outstanding evidence based case to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
- Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
- Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.

Requirements- Current professional registration (HCPC)
- Proven post-registration ambulance experience
- Evidence of continued professional development
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illness
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
