We have an exciting opportunity for Bank Primary Care Nurse to join our team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category B Prison located in London.
As a Bank Primary Care Nurse you will work across various teams across site, including the Early Days in Custody team where you will screen new arrivals; the Planned Care team to deliver care in a residential setting; the Unscheduled Care Team where you will respond to emergencies and the Substance Misuse team to assist in the recovery planning of patients.In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.
HoursThe site currently offers a 24-hour service
Days: Monday to Sunday - 07:30 - 19:45 Nights: Monday to Sunday - 19:30 - 07:30Salary
You'll receive a bank hourly rate of £25.14 per hour (weekdays) and £27.14 per hour (weekends & bank holidays)How will we support you?

Main duties of the job
As a Bank Primary Care Nurse you will work in various areas, including:
your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
- Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
- Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
- Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders
- Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.

Requirements:
- Registered NMC nurse Adult
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
