We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Lead, to be part of the clinical leadership team within our Health in Justice service line.
Over the last eight years the Health in Justice service line has grown from a portfolio of 12 prisons to our current c.60 services. We are recognised as a leading outsourced NHS provider within the UK and want to be known as providing best in class patient care within the criminal justice sector.
As a member of the leadership Team, the Medical Lead will work and provide regional support in parallel with national responsibility. The role requires an understanding of the aspirations for secure environments and the non-custodial sector to find positive solutions for the challenges being faced in both healthcare and the wider environment.
Hours
Monday to Friday remote role with travel across our regional locations
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £145,000 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Medical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
- have an understanding of the sectors dynamics at both a National and Regional level as well as an understanding of the strategic direction for HiJ delivery.
- provide medical leadership in order to ensure the consistent delivery of high quality, safe and cost-effective care for patients within the Health and Justice Service line.
- continuously work to improve the healthcare provided for our complex patient group.
- provide professional leadership to colleagues including maintaining high professional standards in behaviour and practice across all services and developing medical leadership capability.
About us
- Significant and broad experience of working in a Senior Medical role for at least 3 years.
- Experience of working to improve patient experience.
- Implementation of evidence-based practice /medical research in practice.

Qualifications required
- Current full GMC registration and either part of NHSE Performers list or on Specialist Register in relevant area.
