You will support the Endoscopy Manager, Vera along with the rest of the team with the overall responsibility for all patients in the Endoscopy Unit. Ensuring that all procedures performed meet individual patient needs, reflect good practice and are provided by means of appropriate equipment, within the agreed patient care pathways.
07.30-18.30x 3 days plus 1x 6 hrs shift Monday to Friday
Main duties of the job
As a Health Care Assistant in our Southampton team you will be responsible for assisting the nursing team with patient care, keeping records, stock control, equipment maintenance and maintaining the cleanliness of the Endoscopy department. Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling and want to work in an environment where the work can be hard, but also fun and rewarding. As a valued member of the team, your duties with consist of welcoming/greeting patients to the ward area, answering the telephone, recording and delivering messages accurately and to the appropriate person. Assisting in the ordering and monitoring of stores and stock rotation and support other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

- Already achieved your NVQ level 2
- Ideally, you will have experience working within an acute healthcare environment.
- Demonstrate initiative working without direct supervision
- The ability to receive and communicate information accurately and take instruction from professional colleagues
