We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Rye Hill, a category BPrison located in Rugby.
HMP Rye Hill has a capacity of 660 males after 18+. The Mental Health team consists of mental health clinical lead, 4 mental health nurses psychologist and psychiatrist and mental heath prescriber and a assistant psychologist. Hours: This is a permanent role based on 37.5 hours per week Monday - Sunday. 8am - 6pm covering various shiftsSalary
This position is fulltime, youll receive an annual salary between £43000 - £46000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Senor Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Be responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients mental health needs
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan
- Seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- You will play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.
- You will forge strong links with our partners and stakeholders, providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within, and feel proud of.
- Evidence based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
- Building strong multi-disciplinary teams and supporting each other to do a great job.

Qualifications required:
- Qualified Mental Health Nurse - NMC registration
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Experience of working with patients, face to face, who have complex mental health conditions
- Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work and awareness of substance misuse
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
