We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Kirkham, a category D Prison located in Kirkham, Preston.
The prison has it s own Healthcare department where you will be based and the primary care team consists of a team of 10 HMP Kirkham is a capacity of 700 males.- Onsite parking

Hours:
The role is a part time role working 29.5 hours per week Monday - Sunday, there are various shifts covering:- Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4.30pm or 10.30am - 7pm
- Friday 8am - 4.30pm
- Weekends 8am - 12noon - 1 weekend in 4
Salary:
This position is part time, youll receive an annual salary up to £33232 - £40211 pro rota - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Primary Care Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
- Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
- Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
- Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders
- Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
- Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications required:
- Registered nurse Adult - NMC
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
