Are you an experienced payroll professional ready to take ownership of a large-scale payroll operation? Were looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Payroll Analyst to join our team at Practice Plus Group, managing the full end-to-end payroll process for over 2,000 employees across our Secondary Care division.

This is a fixed-term contract for up to 12-months to cover a period of maternity leave.Main duties of the job
As our Payroll Analyst, you will be:
- Leading on the delivery of accurate and timely end-to-end payroll for our HC02 payroll group (covering hospitals and treatment centres).
- Ensuring all statutory and voluntary deductions are processed and paid on time.
- Handling payroll-related queries, resolving issues, and providing clear and timely communication to employees.
- Maintaining and developing payroll procedures and audit processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Building effective working relationships with Finance, HR, Business Systems, and Operations teams.
- Identifying and suggesting process improvements, risk mitigation strategies, and efficiencies.
- Supporting a robust control environment to ensure accuracy and mitigate compliance risks.
About us
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience managing end-to-end payroll processes in a large organisation.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and audit requirements.
- Excellent Excel skills and experience with payroll systemsiTrent experience highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving and time management skills.
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals or equivalent (or working towards it).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a hands-on, proactive approach.
- Experience in NHS payroll would be a valuable advantage.
