Our busy, fun and focused Administration department based at our Emersons Green hospital, have a new permanent opportunity requiring a detailed and well organised Administrator to join our close-knit team as an additional Discharge Co-ordinator.
- Are you a strong, pro-active Administrator with a medical background, who can perform their role with genuine interest, care, focus and tenacity?
This opportunity will see the Discharge Co-ordinator conducting a series of secretarial duties, closely supporting our Surgeons and other qualified medical staff.
This is a permanent full-time position (37.5 hpw)
Working Monday to Friday
from 09:00 to 17:00!
Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Administration Manager you the Discharge Co-ordinator, will be required to manage all correspondence as well as direct and in-direct enquiries from patients, various healthcare professionals and outside health agencies. These will come in the form of phone calls and emails coming into the departments. You will be transcribing correspondence via email from consultants notes using appropriate medical terminology, as well as generating routine and non-routine correspondence as required. Youll be used to working with a strong appreciation of compliance and governance ensuring that all your duties are carried out to the highest possible standard, and in accordance with quality initiatives and company standards. Always remaining compliant when working with personal information and sensitive data, adhering to GDPR regulations. The duties and responsibilities are not exhaustive and will require the undertaking of other relevant duties as requested by the Administration Manager.
About us
We see the appointed Discharge Co-ordinator, coming from a very similar background, possessing past medical related Administrative, PA or Secretarial experience.
Youll be a focused induvial with great attention to detail, pro-active in your approach and an effective communicator at all levels both written and verbal with strong IT skills, proficient with MS Office tools and able to pick up new systems easily.
In addition, an effective and supportive team player, equally able to work alone using your own initiative.
