We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP The Mount a category C training prison built on the site of a former RAF station on the outskirts of Bovingdon village, Hertfordshire.

In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £52,507per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team by bringing your top-notch clinical skills and passion for care.
• Undertake a wide variety of tasks including screening, assessments, examinations, and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency.
• Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
• Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams and supporting each other to do a great job.

Requirements

• NMC Registered nurse Adult
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development
• Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
• Ability to work within a busy environment
• Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
