We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse Associate to join our Primary Care team at HMP Featherstone a category C Prison located in Wolverhampton based on a 12 months fixed term contract to start asap until May 2026.
HMP Featherstone is a male prison with a population of 678 males, this is a training prison with a layout of 7 wings.- Onsite parking

Hours
This role is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week Monday - Sunday, shift patterns will be:- Monday - Friday 7.30am - 6.30pm
- Weekends - 8.30am - 5.30pm
Salary
This position is a 12 month fixed term contract, youll receive an annual salary between £26000 - £28500 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Registered Nurse Associate, your responsibilities will vary.
- Provide outstanding care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them
- You will contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics as well as assisting patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
- Deliver non-judgemental care involving anything from health promotion clinics and observations to supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks.
- Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of
- Promote best practice, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning. You will promote patient wellbeing through our overarching Wellbeing
- Approach, demonstrating empathy and understanding to our patients.

Qualifications required:
- Qualified Nurse Associate
- Currently registered with the NMC
- Training to level 3 in the safeguarding of vulnerable people
- Demonstrate current/recent preceptorship pathway since joining the NMC register
- Evidence of post registration CPD in areas relating to current practice
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
