We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our Primary Care teams working across HMP Preston and HMP Kirkham. Within this role you will be working 3 days per week at HMP Preston a category B remand prison and 2 days per week at HMP Kirkham a category D prison both located in Preston. This is a fantastic role for a Pharmacist who enjoys developing pharmacy services and wants to make the role their own, as part of this position you will be delivering medication reviews, clinics and a small amount of dispensing.

Hours

8am-4pm Monday to Friday

Working across 2 sites

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary from £49,848 up to £55,996 per annum depending on experience

Main duties of the job

At Practice Plus Group our pharmacy teams ensure medicines optimisation is embedded into everyday practice.

You'll be responsible for

  • The provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
  • Working closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the provision of service meets the contractual obligations.
  •  The role involves providing daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring that a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners.
  • You will lead a team of support staff and work closely with a range of clinicians and non-clinicians from Primary Care, Mental Health, and other health partners in ensuring effective delivery of pharmacy services.

You will be a qualified Registered Pharmacist- BSc or Masters Degree in Pharmacy, holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will have a real passion for developing your Pharmaceutical skills and those of your team.
