We are currently looking for an Stock and Equipment Assistant to join our stores team at our Rochdale Hospital.

About the role

The role holder will be involved in receiving and recording stock into our Croft Shifa site in Rochdale and to deliver the stock to appropriate stock rooms and areas on site.

The role holder will ensure safe packing of consumables and pharmacy items in time for our drivers to safely deliver to the mobile units. The role holder will also assist in coordinating equipment maintenance, scheduling and call outs when required and be involved in any projects that relate to consumables and equipment

Main duties of the job

  The post holder will be responsible but not limited for the following:  

Equipment management liaising with Suppliers/Maintenance companies for servicing/callouts/repairs. Raising POs for these items as needed.

Assist with ordering stock and pharmacy items when required (urgent/cover)

Packing up stock (medical consumable and pharmacy items) for delivery to our mobile units or local yard each week. Helping the drivers load the stock into the delivery vehicle.

Receive deliveries and put away stock ensure stock has arrived and assist in chasing incomplete orders when required.

Assist in ensuring par levels for stock are met

Ensuring all stock received is packed neatly onto the store room shelves according to a FIFO system.

Stock counts and recording for month end.
