  We have a brand new position available for a Sterile Services Technician to support the Sterile Services Department Lead in ensuring a continuously compliant, safe and effective decontamination and sterile supplies service.

This is a permanent position

Working Monday to Friday with 1 Saturday shifts in 3

Hours based on two shift patterns;

Early - 07:30 - 15:30

Late - 11:00 - 19:00

Main duties of the job

A Sterile Services Technician is required to be a vital member of the team, working to support the Sterile Services Department Lead and Theatre Manager in the provision of a safe and effective decontamination and sterile supplies service to the required departments within our hospital.

Youll be ensuring that every medical device is prepared fit for the purpose prior to patient use and undertaking tasks involved with the decontamination process i.e. cleaning, checking, packing, assembling, sterilising and distribution of medical devices.

About us

We see the appointed Sterile Services Technician possessing the following attributes;

  • Being able to competently prioritise workload and meet work to deadlines
  • Having the ability to lead and support Technicians ensuring all areas of the department is covered on shift
  • Confidence to competently communicate with other departments where necessary
  • Highlight and report breakdowns in a timely manner
  • To ultimately support the Decontamination Manager as required
