We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B prison located located near Bicester. HMP Bullingdon is a male prison with operational capacity of around 1,100.
Hours
The site currently offers a 24-hour service and shift patterns.
Salary
This position is full time, 37.5 hours per week youll receive an annual salary up to £31,491 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
- Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
- Work across all areas of the service including Primary Care, Early Day and Substance Misuse.

Qualifications required
- NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
