We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Clinical Lead to join our Primary Care team at Gatwick IRC, a category B Prison located in Gatwick.

Hours

The site currently offers a 24-hour service and shift patterns

Monday to Friday - 9.00 to 17.00

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £55,996 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job

As a Primary Care Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• support the registered nurses in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received
• provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams
• coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site
• promote safe patient care
• develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications required:

• Registered Nurse
• Existing line management experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Good IT skills and IT literacy
• Ability to work within a busy environment
• Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
