The prison houses around 640 patients where we deliver the primary care, mental health and substance misuse services. In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality. Hours The site currently offers shifts across Monday to Sunday including bank holidays. In this role you will work 7 nights on and 7 nights off, from 20:30 - 07:45. This position is full time working 37.5 hours per week. Salary Youll receive an annual salary up to £44,962 per annum - depending on experience. How will we support you? Main duties of the job
As a Primary Care Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
- Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
- Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications required
- Registered nurse Adult / Paramedic
- Current professional qualification (NMC)
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards
- Knowledge of healthcare policies and best practice
