We have an opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Pentonville, a category B remand Prison located in North London, which housing around 1115 patients. This role is fantastic opportunity that would suit an experienced pharmacist who thrives on working within a fast paced environment and working collaboratively within clinical teams. The site has an aging population, with high long term conditions and polypharmacy, as part of your role would provide advice on medicines management and deliver structured medication review clinics.
The prison is easily accessible via Caledonian Road and Highbury and Islington stations, as well as having staff parking onsite. If you are interested in development the site also offers the opportunity to complete an independent prescriber course
Hours
Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £53,000 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacist, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Be responsible for the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
- Work closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the provision of service meets the contractual obligations.
- Provide daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring that a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners.

Requirements
- GPhC registered Pharmacist.
- Management and leadership experience (desirable).
- Procurement and audit experience (desirable).
- Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy including pre-registration training
- Excellent communication skills
Although not essential ideal applicants would have at least 2 years pharmacist experience
