We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool.
This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. Hours: This is a bank position, offering the flexibility for you to choose shifts that work around you! The hours we are looking to cover are: 7am - 8pm 8am - 9pm 10am - 10pm - admissions only 7.30pm - 7.30am 7 days a week service to cover Salary: This position is offered on a Bank basis, and the hourly rate is £15.02. Main duties of the job
As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
- Provide outstanding quality based care to all patients
- Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback
- Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics
- Support the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care on the wings and healthcare centres

Our new Healthcare Assistant will:- Hold a NVQ Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent
- Have a non-judgemental and compassionate approach
- Be able to evidence their Continued Professional Development (CPD)
- Although not essential, a Driving License and your own vehicle would be beneficial due to the location of the site
