We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Substance Misuse Nurse to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Onley, a category C Prison located in Rugby.
Hours
The site currently offers a 3 week rolling shift pattern, working one weekend in every 3.
Shifts between 7.30-7 and 7.30-6.30pm which equates to 37.5 hours per week
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £46,200 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Substance Misuse Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning.
- You will deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing model.
- You must be able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users
- promote safe patient care
- develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

- You will be a qualified Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever changing
- You'll also have a RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake this to support you in your development.
- Experience of working with opiate dependant patients is advantageous for this role, as well as sound clinical substance misuse knowledge but not essential.
