You will undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed. You will assess patients health needs using an evidence based framework and be able to risk assess use sound clinical knowledge.   You will ensure that you assess physical and mental health of prisoners on admission to the prison and throughout their period of custody so that any appropriate referral can be made. You will also be responsible for making a clinical judgement with regard to any immediate need and long term treatment.    Heathrow Immigration Removal Centre is a detentions centre located next to Heathrow Airport in Harmondsworth, London Borough of Hillingdon. It is the largest immigration removal centre in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents mainly adult males and some adult female detainees.

Main duties of the job

You will be a qualified Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever changing. Youll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourage new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service.

Youll receive an annual salary up to £41,475 per annum - depending on experience.
