We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical/Forensic or Counselling Psychologist to join our team integrated Mental Health team at HMP Five Wells. HMP Five Wells. HMP Five Wells is a category C resettlement prison based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, and houses around 1,687 patients. Within this role you will be working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to delivery high quality Psychological care. 

Hours

The site currently offers a Monday to Friday-  08:30 to 16:30 work pattern with some flexibility

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £63,000 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Psychologist, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • You will support the IMHT with assessment and interventions for complex patients, offer consultation/reflective practice to the team and clinical supervision to the assistant psychologists
  •  Undertake psychological assessments, supporting complex multi-disciplinary formulations and delivering psychological interventions for cases of great complexity.
  • You will also be required to utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service. You will support the integrated mental health team in the overall development of the availability of evidence based therapies.

We are looking for caring, compassionate but also driven professionals who can help us drive our vision for a fair and inclusive healthcare access to all.

  • Satisfactory completion of a British Psychological Society accredited Doctoral Level postgraduate professional training course in clinical psychology 
  • Assessed experience of working as a qualified clinical/forensic/counselling psychologist for a minimum of 3 years post qualification.
  • Experience of highly specialist psychological assessment and individual and group based treatment of clients across the full range of care settings
