We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy Team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool. 

This role offers you the opportunity to work 3 days out of 7, with weekends on a rotational basis, offering flexibility and great work - life balance! This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, administering medication on the wings, supporting the dispensary and complete IPRA reviews. You will join a dynamic team of around 20 within Pharmacy.   Hours:    Shifts are 7am - 8pm, with 3 long days per week. Weekends are worked on a rota basis.    Salary: This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to 38,115 per annum FTE - depending on experience.   How will we support you?

Main duties of the job

As our new Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

• Provide outstanding quality based care to all patients
• Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback 
• Administer medication in line with health in justice policy
• Provide a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring standard operating procedures are followed
• Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals

• Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council with at least NVQ Level 3, or equivalent
• Have relevant post qualification experience
