We have an exciting opportunity for a Psychiatrist role to cover across two sites Gatwick IRC and HMP Lewes to join our team.
HMP Lewes is a category B male prison. Lewes prison is based near the centre of the historical town of Lewes, which is just a 5 minute walk away.
The Gatwick IRC centre is run for the Home Office by Care and Custody, a division of the Serco with Practice Plus Group providing healthcare services to all residents since September 2021.
Youll receive an annual salary up to 170,000per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job
As a psychiatrist you will provide excellent clinical care, assessment and treatment to patients on the case load onsite. You will actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead the senior mental health clinicians on service developments and provide clinical supervision. You will work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi professional complex case reviews. You will be a registered professional with current registration (GMC) with a specialist registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry. You will also have an understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, and up to date knowledge in the adult psychiatry and PD.
