We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Rye Hill, a category B Prison located in Rugby.

The site currently offers three 11 hour shifts a week.

Salary-

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to 38,115 per annum - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job

As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• You will assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security.
• You will be required to work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part be of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison services needs.
• develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

• You will hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC) to be considered for this role
• You will also have relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi-disciplinary team

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
