The role of Occupational Therapist will be an experience like no other, requiring a diverse and mixed Occupational Therapy background. The role involves assessing, planning, and delivering care and therapeutic interventions to patients with complex and/or unstable health care needs. Reviewing care and therapy interventions will be a key aspect of the role.
We offer high quality treatment in a wide range of specialties and deliver excellent clinical care. You can expect to be involved in all aspects of the care planning approach for clients within your caseload. Multi-partner working is essential so the right level of communication and team working skills are essential as well as excellent record keeping skills to ensure that you maintain accurate records and provide the kind of helpful, empathetic support that will make every patient feel at ease.
Main duties of the job
With a diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy, experience in Mental Health and registered with the HCPC, you will need to be empathetic and willing to learn and develop your skills. Experienced in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll be able to manage your caseload and apply an application of OT theory in the treatment of patients in an inpatient setting. An understanding of common medical, surgical and neurological conditions is also required.

About us
This role will be based at HMP Lancaster Farms for 22.5 hours and HMP Kirkham for 15 hours per week
