We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Support Worker to join our Pharmacy team at HMP YOI Doncaster, a category B Prison located in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
HMP YOI Doncaster houses a male population of up to 1145 individuals, approximately 200 of whom are young offenders aged 18-20. Within the pharmacy team offer development and career pathways, on completion of 6 month probation.
Working hours for this role are: 37.5 hours per week shits are 7am-5.30pm You will be required to work alternate weekends
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to 26,145 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Support Worker , your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Check of all controlled drugs under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Technician
- Make accurate entries into controlled drug registers
- Required to support and provide a timely and efficient pharmaceutical service to the prison wings
- Contribute to the development of and support implementation of medicine management strategy and associated services and projects
- You may be required to take on a role of working across multiple Pharmacy Services if and when required.

Qualifications required
- Medicines handing experience desirable not essential
- English and Maths GCSE Grade C/4 or above/equivalent E.g. Functional skills Level 2
- Excellent communication skills H
- Have the ability to recognise your own value and that of others
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- A non-judgemental approach and compassionate approach
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision whilst following policy and procedures
