Job summary
A range of exciting opportunities have arisen to join our Multi-discipline medical team. You will be a highly valued member of our team bringing your expertise and skills in Lower Limb Orthopaedics. As a Practice Plus Group Consultant you will have access to great facilities in a well-structured and relaxed environment. We offer high quality day case treatment in a wide range of specialties and deliver excellent clinical care. As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team you will do everything you can to ensure the patients treatment is of the highest standard. You will be part of a team providing an onsite orthopaedic surgical service to meet the needs of patients treated at the Practice Plus Group Hospital, Plymouth. The centre hosts a day surgery unit and out patients department which offers minor orthopaedic procedures. Whilst a typical Full Time working week will comprise 40 hours (8 PAs), working patterns will be flexible over primarily a Monday to Saturday rota. You will be required to perform orthopaedic surgical procedures and clinics on patients referred to the Hospital, including: Joint surgery: Primary knee arthroplasty Primary hip cemented & hybrid Primary hip uncemented Minor orthopaedic surgery to include: Arthroscopy of the knee Joint aspiration and/or injection and other Minor Musculoskeletal procedures Other minor procedures possibly including forefoot surgery
