A very exciting opportunity has arisen to join our multi-discipline team as a Specialty Endoscopist - GP with a Specialist interest, you will be a highly valued member of our team, bringing your expertise, with plenty of opportunities to collaborate and learn in return.
This post delivers high quality Endoscopy services at the Hospital. The appointee will be required to deliver high quality upper and lower day case gastroenterology services. Should the appointee only specialise in one area shown below, this would also be sufficient and the Company would support any opportunity to widen an appointees skillset through supporting training. The work will be carried out principally under local anaesthesia with or without sedation.
We are open to both part-time and full-time applicants.

Main duties of the job
Applicants will be required to demonstrate a high level of skill in the following areas:
- Diagnostic Oesophago-Gastro-Duodenoscopy
- Diagnostic Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
- Diagnostic Colonoscopy
- Expertise in therapeutic Colonoscopy in particular resection of colonic polyps
- Safe sedation practice
- Managing any complications of these procedures.
