As a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, you will provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management. You will also provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Main duties of the job

We recognise training and development is key, therefore we provide a training portal to facilitate your needs as well as have an in-depth induction for all staff whether you have experience of working in prisons or not. You will gain insight into Mental Health and Substance Misuse, as well as access to a variety of training opportunities with the opportunity to work towards your RCGP level 2 and other qualifications should you wish. 

How will we support you? Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course Competency framework Regional and national career development opportunities Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs Support from the wider team   This role is for 8 sessions per week.

Youll receive an annual salary up to 120,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

About us

 

HMP Full Sutton is a Category A and B mens prison in the village of Full Sutton in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It is a half an hour drive from York city centre. The prison is purpose built and has capacity to hold 560 men in conditions of high security.

The dedicated team in the Health in Justice division of Practice Plus Group make a real difference across over 45 prisons, young offenders and immigration removal centres.
