Job summary
Where your work helps shape the healthcare of tomorrow We are looking for a Sterile Services Technician to join us on a full time basis, working 37.5 hours per week, spread over 5 days one of which will be a Saturday. You will be a vital member of the team, working to support our Central Sterile Services Department Manager, Jim, in the provision of a safe and effective decontamination and sterile supplies service to all departments within the hospital. This will include ensuring that every medical device is prepared fit for the purpose prior to patient use and undertaking tasks involved with the decontamination process i.e. cleaning, checking, packing, assembling, sterilising and distribution of medical devices. We are happy to set up an informal visit to the Sterile Service department so you can get a feel for what the role entails and meet the team. Main duties of the job
This role would be a great first post within a healthcare setting forsomeone with little to no experience, who has excellent communication skillsand an interested in the procedures relating to sterile services. All you need is:
