Integrated/Cross Sector Apprentice Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in a career as a Pharmacy Technician to earn while you learn in different settings offering a wide and varied learning experience.

In this new cross sector role, you will be an apprentice training to become a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician. You will be supported to learn whilst working in both the pharmacy department at HMP Winchester and Royal County Hospital, Winchester, a District General Hospital run by the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will be required to travel for this role between the placement sites spending approximately 3 months at a time on each site.

Pharmacy Technicians have a variety of roles and responsibilities which you will be introduced to during your training. You will be supported by an experienced Pharmacy Team both in HMP Winchester and in each placement, working with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians as well other other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

The training will include support and learning opportunities in each workplace as well as attending regular teaching sessions with the training provider and time for independent study and reflection.

 Experience working in a pharmacy would be great but is not essential.

Main duties of the job

• You must have GCSE maths and English minimum grade C/4 (or equivalent) and a science GCSE would be desirable but not essential.
• You must have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years continuously.
• You must have the right to work in the UK.
• If you are on a working Visa, it must be valid for the duration of the apprenticeship.
• You must not have completed the learning previously or be registered with the GPhC.
• You must not be currently attending any other Government funded training.

You also need to be committed to learning and completing coursework to deadlines. You must be able to work accurately, communicate effectively and be confident to move between teams regularly.

Youll receive an annual salary up to 22,883 per annum per annum - depending on experience.

2 year fixed term contract working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
