As a HR administrator, you will work with our healthcare teams to support onboarding, new starter processes, variations, administration of benefits, employee recognition, administration of family friendly policies and resignations. You will be responsible for ensuring all requests received are responded to in a timely way, working as part of a team that works collaboratively to support our Health in Justice (prison healthcare) service line. You will have high standards of customer service, always striving to deliver great service to our operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- New starter administration including creating and maintaining electronic employee personal files and completing compliance and on boarding checks.
- Processing new starters, leavers and variations and liaising with the payroll department in accordance with monthly deadlines and generate any necessary associated individual correspondence.
- Ensure that Practice Plus Group meets its regulatory responsibilities with regard to pre-employment vetting and complies with the Data Protection Act. Including verifying eligibility to work in the United Kingdom (where relevant), DBS applications and professional registrations, gathering references and monitoring Occupational Health pre-employment screening has taken place;
- Process ad hoc employee lifecycle contractual and other changes including maternity, benefits changes, referral schemes etc.
Main duties of the job
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- You will need to be a team player with strong customer service skills
- Strong organisational and administration skills; previous experience of working with a HR system is a bonus but not essential
- Good Level of literacy
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
Additional Information:
Standard working hours are 9:00am 5:30pm however we can be flexible should you wish to start earlier or later to fit around your circumstances.
This role is a hybrid position and will be based at home however you will be required to come into our Head Office in Reading 1 day per week (subject to review on an ongoing basis in line with company guidelines). Our Reading office is within 10-15 minutes walk of Reading Train Station and Town Centre, opposite King's Meadow, and has parking on site.
