As a Practice Plus Group Consultant you will have access to great facilities in a well-structured and relaxed environment. Reporting to the Hospital Medical Director, you will manage and lead a multi-professional team and perform a range of Endoscopic procedures. We have two endoscopy rooms, one purpose built and one in an adapted operating room. The endoscopy service is run with both Olympus and Fujinon endoscope systems. In this role you will be responsible for delivering diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures to referred NHS and private patients. You will be expected to deliver upper- and lower-day case gastroenterology services, principally carried out under local anaesthesia or without sedation.
Main duties of the job
A Gastroenterologist with full and specialist GMC registration with evidence of subspecialty training, with:
- experience of working in a specialist department treating upper and lower gastrointestinal conditions
- the ability to offer an expert opinion on a range of problems in elective gastroenterology, drawing on substantial experience in the speciality
