General Practitioner

Job summary

This is the perfect chance to use and develop all your skills and expertise as a GP, providing diagnosis, treatment, advice and referrals to other healthcare resources, via primary care centres. You will also use our electronic prescribing system to effectively manage the patient. Based in our various Out Of Hours (OOH) centres, youll be working autonomously within your sphere of competency as a lead clinician in a multi-skilled team that includes advanced nurse practitioners, registered nurses, UCPs, mental health and dental nurses, prescribing pharmacists and pharmacy advisors. We are proud of our strong, stable infrastructure that ensures clinical safety and provides senior-level clinical support throughout evenings, nights and weekends. Youll be able to keep your skills up to date with a CPD programme and can expect education and training tailored to your needs and future plans. We work closely with the NHS to provide opportunities to learn, innovate and contribute new ideas. Our OOH Centres are in Hillingdon, Hounslow and Harrow for face to face sessions, you may be asked to work across any of these sites.  We are looking for full and part time practitioners on a permanent salaried basis. We can also offer self-employed sessions also. 

Main duties of the job

What you will need:

• GMC registration certificate and inclusion on the GP Performers List with a valid CCT.

   

• Experience to confidently manage acute and chronic presentations for both adult and paediatric patients, with a proven ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care.

• Excellent listening and communication skills, with experience of urgent care assessment and good IT/keyboard skills.
