Barlborough is an Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgery Hospital. You will be required to provide anaesthetic services to support elective orthopaedics and spinal surgery. You will be part of a state of the art anaesthetic team delivering cutting edge anaesthetic techniques to allow patients to be discharged on the same day after knee and hip replacement surgery. Experienced in providing pre and post-operative assessment of patients, your role will include providing good quality written information to the patients GP. 

Main duties of the job

As a key member of the centres team you will be working closely with our team of Consultants across a wide range of specialisms and the hospitals Medical Director, Marco, and local Leadership Team. Furthermore, you will be a key contributor to the development of Clinical Quality Standards and participate in our audit and clinical governance programme.

  • Current GMC specialist registration in anaesthesia
  • Experience at Consultant level within the UK
  • Committed to your own continuing medical education and professional development.
