We are looking for a part-time (15 hours per week, Wednesday and Thursday ideally but can be flexible) Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to join our amazing team.
You will be working as part of a friendly, professional and expert team supported by our Pharmacy Manager, Stephane to assist in the provision a pharmacy service for inpatients, outpatients and day patients using the centre.
You will be an experienced GPhC registered Pharmacist with knowledge of the legal requirements for the supply and storage of medications and controlled drugs. You will have the opportunity to be a key team member delivering services across a variety of elective specialities such as Orthopaedics, ENT, Urology, Gynae, Ophthalmology, and Endoscopy.
It would be an advantage if you have experience of working in a hospital environment but it is not essential. Just as important however is your ability to work as part of a team and your motivation to provide a high standard of service.
Main duties of the job
We are keen to help develop our team and therefore you would have access to a supportive learning plan and environment which will be provided for candidates with limited experience, who wanted to establish an advanced clinical pharmacy career.
We would support your development via hospital funded training (where appropriate) this can include but not limited to:
- Clinical Diploma
- Independent prescribing
- Leadership training
Who we are looking for:
- Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
- Current registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or willing to work towards a qualification (funded by the hospital and/or HEE)
- Experience working in hospital, PCN or community pharmacy in the UK
- Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient requirements
