Heathrow IRC are looking for a Mental Health Practitioner to provide healthcare to patients, promoting health and well-being within the IRC population. This role will be responsible for assessment and caseload management of those referred into Mental health services within the IRC working as part of a primary care integrated model. You will be supporting your team to carry out comprehensive assessments, confidently communicating treatment options and initiating supportive care plans, working with individuals on a 1-2-1 basis alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence. Heathrow Immigration Removal Centre is a detentions centre located next to Heathrow Airport in Harmondsworth, London Borough of Hillingdon. It is the largest immigration removal centre in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents mainly adult males, however it does house some adult female detainees.
Main duties of the job
You will either be a Registered Mental Health Nurse/ Social Worker/ Occupational Therapist or hold membership with BABCP/BACP/ UKCP. Youll have a flexible approach to working within a team that encourages new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service.

Youll receive an annual salary up to 48,000 per annum - depending on experience.
