To train to be a highly trained advisor you will need to be committed to attend one of our training dates (full paid).

The full-time programmes runs over a four week period whilst the part-time training runs over a six week period.

Our next training dates available are:

  • Monday 7th August - Full Time - Monday to Friday (9:00am-5:00pm) for 4 weeks
  • Saturday 19th August - Part Time - Sat-Sun (9am-5pm) Tues, Weds, Thurs (5pm-9.30pm) for 6 weeks
  • Monday 4th September - Full Time - Monday to Friday (9:00am-5:00pm) for 4 weeks
Once youve completed your training
  • You can choose a shift starting from 17:00, 18:00 or 1900 and finish to 0000, 2300 or 0200 = Total 6 hour shift or longer.
  • You will also need to pick up either a Saturday or Sunday shift in addition to weekday evenings (or can of course do both but at least one).
  • A minimum of 24 hours per week (2 or 3 weekdays and 1 weekend day per week at 6 hours per shift)
  • We could offer full time 1800 - 0200 x 5 shifts per week (with one of these at the weekend)
  Rates of Pay: 10.19 per hour daytime and during training(07:00-23:00); 13.11 per hour night rate (23:00-07:00); 13.11 per hour weekend rate (23:00-07:00).

 

 

Main duties of the job

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working and communicating with the public (over the phone or face to face/ or previous Call Centre experience
  • Ability to use own initiative as appropriate
  • to stay calm in the event of the unexpected and under pressure
  • to communicate with a variety of different people and build rapport
  • to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability and willingness to undertake competency-based training both initially and as ongoing requirement for the post to meet service requirements.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a team
  • Ability to use initiative and be aware of limitations
  • Ability to deal sensitively with distressing, emotional situations
  • Ability to relate to others and adapt approach accordingly
  • Ability to work unsocial hours including 24/7 shift work and Bank Holidays
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and over 18 years of age
