Job summary

As the wellbeing healthcare assistant, you will be responsible to support all the healthcare services within HMP Wealstun with health promotion and wellbeing events for both our patient and staff group. Working with the service leads to co-ordinate forums, patient engagement, patient feedback, health promotion events and patient Newsletters. You will work closely with all teams to support patient wellbeing and ongoing development of the service as well as work with the SMT to gather the feedback from events to help focus service improvement

We are ideally looking for someone who has experience of working in a Health Care Assistant role or similar.

Main duties of the job

To apply for this position you must have obtained a level 2 in Health and Social Care with the ability to work autonomously within a busy environment and maintain professional standards in line with policy and procedures.   How will we support you? Youll receive an annual salary up to 24,550 per annum - dependent on experience. We offer a whole host of additional benefits such as: cycle to work scheme, free uniform, an extensive training and development structure for all employees along with an employee recognition scheme.

About us

Practice Plus Group is a specialist provider of NHS services into prison healthcare across over 45 different prisons, young offenders and immigration removal centres. The prison population is one of the most vulnerable and challenged patient groups in society and the delivery of their health care is conducted within often difficult and demanding environments.

HMP Wealstun is a Category C men's prison, located near the village of Thorp Arch in West Yorkshire. Which is based 30 minute from Leeds, and 5 minutes from the A1 just off Boston Spa.
