Beacon Medical Services Group is a well-established provider of community ultra sound for the NHS. Our Ultrasound Service is a model of excellence and because of continued year on year growth we are now recruiting additional Sonographers to join our team. We are looking for highly motivated Uk experienced Sonographers to join our well established clinical team. You will be working alongside a great team of professionals that are passionate about delivering an excellent patient experience and maintaining the highest standards at all times.
Main duties of the job

To
work autonomously in providing a ultrasound service to scan a wide selection of
patients, creating a written report on the results and discussing these, when
appropriate, with the patient. A minimum of a post-graduate certificate in
Medical Ultrasound, clinical expertise and excellent written and verbal
communication skills are essential requirements.
Scope
The post holder will be required to work flexibly to support
the Ultrasound service within clinics across several sites. This may include working
with different teams and environments on a regular basis. The range of
ultrasound we provide, include
abdominal, general medicine, pelvis and superficial imaging. MSK
ultrasound skills are an advantage. The Sonographer will have a minimum of two
years postgraduate experience in medical ultrasound from a C.A.S.E Accredited
Uk University.

To contribute to the
provision of the highest standards of sonography practice and patient care, in
accordance with company standards, procedures and protocols.

are commissioned by the NHS to provide Ultra sound at the various locations,
across Stockport . We deliver non obstetric ultrasound using the latest GE Mobile machines. The range of
ultrasound we provide, include abdominal, general medicine, pelvis and superficial
imaging. MSK ultrasound skills are an advantage.
The Sonographer will have a minimum of two years
postgraduate experience in medical ultrasound from a C.A.S.E Accredited Uk
University.

Key tasks/responsibilities :

To provide general abdominal, pelvic, small parts and MSK (if
appropriately trained) ultrasound scanning services in conjunction with other
Sonographers and health care professionals.
·
To independently perform ultrasound scanning duties to the required standards
of Beacon Medical and to produce a clinical report for each ultrasound scan
undertaken.
·
To undertake any administrative duties that may be necessary for speedy
progression of patients and patient results.
·
To actively participate in matters concerning clinical governance,
clinical audit and assessment.
·
To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing
professional development (CPD).
·
To adhere to company policy and procedures in terms of health and
safety, data protection and confidentiality.
·
To give full co-operation in any investigations of a complaint or
untoward incident and comply with company procedure to that effect.
·
To ensure that professional and technical knowledge/expertise is kept up
to date and to maintain a portfolio to show evidence of personal professional
development.
·
To be able to work independently within a clearly defined set of Beacon
Medical protocols and make informed clinical decisions .
·
For each examination undertaken, a comprehensive diagnostic report will
be formulated .
·
