Job summary
Are you an experienced Locum, looking for a portfolio
role? Are you passionate about improving
the role of the Locum and looking for an opportunity to make a change? If so, this could be the role for you. We recognise that working as a Locum can
sometimes be isolating and challenging, particularly when access to resources
and support is not as readily available as in a practice. Thats why we need you to help us make a
difference!
We are looking for a GP to work with us at Cornwall Training
Hub to build and develop a thriving Locum GP community in Cornwall. Joining
us as a Locum Ambassador you will help us promote the support already available
to Locum GPs, develop new initiatives as required, and build a network of
sharing, good practice, and support. It
will involve networking and partnering with colleagues in the Training Hub, GP
Practices, the LMC, and working with the individual Locums.
The role is 2 sessions per month, fixed term for 12 months at £10,493 sessional rate pro rata.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be passionate, creative, and empathetic.
Working with one of our Training Hub team, you will need to engage with the
Locums to identify gaps and needs and pull together a range of projects and a
support network to address this. This may also involve organising speakers,
networking events or social events as well as compiling useful resources which
can be shared.
Ideally, you will either be a practicing Locum in Cornwall
or have experience of working as a Locum, with a minimum of 5 years experience
as a GP.
