Main duties of the job

As a Senior Oncology Staff Nurse, you will: Have experience in Oncology and have a UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent) Be proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation and accessing Central Venous Access Devices Be a valued addition to the team in our consultant and nurse-led service Work with patients receiving chemotherapy or new treatments, such as immunotherapy Fully assess each patient's needs, providing tailored treatment plans and care Administer systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT) Assist consultants during clinics Provide care for Acute Oncological emergencies Collaborate with the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT Team)

We are looking for an experienced Senior SACT Nurse who also has experience managing cohorts of prostate patients. In the absence of a Prostate/Onc-Urology CNS this position will allow us to provide enhanced support to our Uro-Oncologists and patients in this growing area with a view to creating a Onc-urology CNS position to cover all aspects of urology cancers (bladder, prostate and testicular) in the future.
