We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Angiography Nurse to join us in making our Interventional Suite a true centre of excellence. If you specialise in Angiography and Endovascular Interventions, there has never been a better time to join the team in Leeds. Main duties of the job

As an IVS Staff Nurse you must:

  • Be registered with the NMC and have at least 2-year experience in a busy Angiography lab
  • Have competencies in Phlebotomy, Cannulation and Intravenous drug administration
  • Be BLS/ILS certified
  • Possess a vast knowledge in Cardiology, Peripheral Vascular and Neurovascular diseases and their treatment
  • Have a very good understanding of Radiation protection.
You will :
  • Fully understand and pay close attention to each patient's needs
  • Work directly with some of the best clinical talent around in a close knit team headed by our Head of Cardiology
  • Gain valuable experience of new practices, equipment and facilities
  • Collaborate with practitioners across other departments to ensure continuity in patient care Be highly motivated and have an excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills
  • Have a flexible approach to working pattern is essential

The successful candidate will be expected to assist in delivering a high quality service; assisting and circulating in a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures such as Percutaneous Coronary Interventions, Cardiac Rhythm Management Procedures, Peripheral Vascular Interventions, Embolisation of Cerebral Aneurysm and Uterine Artery Embolisation.
