Main duties of the job

As a Staff Nurse in Cardiology, you will: Be flexible, motivated, an excellent communicator and team worker Join a close-knit team headed by our matron on our consultant-led ward Fully understand and pay close attention to each patient's needs Work directly with some of the best clinical talent around Gain valuable experience of new practices, equipment and facilities Collaborate with practitioners across other departments to ensure continuity in patient care

About us

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital. The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.

We have a hybrid Cath lab which operates three days a week preforming ablations, angioplasty, device insertion and cardioversions. We run a nurse led cardiology pre assessment service and a cardiac stress MRI service for our patients. As a Staff Nurse in Cardiology, you will:
