Main duties of the job

Supervise and support clinical support staff and junior staff in the delivery of care, providing education, training and mentorship to meet development needs. Deliver high quality patient care, which is clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care as part of a collaborative programme.

The hospital is located with excellent transport links by road and rail, both to and from London, Thames Valley, and the Midlands. The theatre complex at The Manor Hospital consists of 6 main theatres and 2 minor theatres, a six bed level 2 PACU and a 6 bed CCU. We have over 350 clinical specialists who offer complex and diverse treatments and have a dedicated Matron-led clinical team. We offer the full range of flexible working options including part time working, term time working, compressed hours and job share. Staff needing to relocate have the option of staying in our staff accommodation for their first six months service.

We're looking for a highly skilled Critical Care Manager with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care to join us at Nuffield Health, The Manor Hospital. About the Role As a nurse registered with the appropriate governing body, you'll have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration. You'll also have post-registration experience. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual who has undertaken post graduate study in intensive care and mentorship. You will need to have a passion for clinical care while possessing excellent leadership skills to support the team and assist the senior sister with the management of the unit. You will need extensive experience in critical care along with previous experience at a senior level. You'll be an excellent communicator and team worker - flexible and motivated. As part of the wider hospital team, you'll interact with practitioners from other areas because you understand that continuity in patient care is key. You'll be part of a close-knit, multidisciplinary team. And, with our consultant-led service, you'll be working directly with some of the best clinical talent around, gaining experience with new practices, equipment and facilities.
