Senior Biomedical Scientist Histology - Tunbridge Wells Hospital | Permanent Contract | Full Time - 37.5 hours per week | Salary up to £41,000.00 per annum (depending on experience)
Main duties of the job
As a Senior Biomedical Scientist Histology, you will: Have in depth knowledge of Histology to support the training and development of other staff members.
Carry out and oversee routine histology practices including dissection, microtomy, embedding, manual coverslipping, troubleshooting, validation of reagents and participation in NEQAS.
Keep records of specimens, results, reagents, and consumables.
Support the organisation in validating and assessing new histology equipment.
You will have the opportunity to undertake a management qualification/higher specialist in cell path if desired.
Assist in the maintenance and improve quality management systems required for UKAS accreditation.
